Terms and Conditions


   All our vehicles are grouped and we shall endeavor to supply you with a vehicle within the stipulated Group, however we can never guarantee it. Equally, we can not guarantee a particular make or model of vehicles. This extends to the colour, type, transmission, fuel type, interior trimming spec, etc. You are advised not to proceed with a rental unless you accept this condition.
   The minimum age for any driver is 23, the maximum age for any driver is 70, and you can have one additional drivers on any hire, on the proviso that the additional driver meets our criteria of eligibility and we have signed full particulars including his driving license, identification, proof of address.
   We require a copy of photo identification to be able to proceed with any rental. This can be emailed or posted to us at the time of booking or handed to our agent on collection of the vehicle.
  We do not operate -One way rentals- the vehicle must be collected and returned back to us. We do not operate a Collection and delivery.
   Equally, You must collect and return the vehicle to us between the stipulated opening ours of the Branch. Please note that we can not be held liable for failure to reach our branches within the opening hours, such responsibility lies solely with yourselves and failure to collect the car shall be treated as a "non-show" and failure to return the car shall be treated as "unauthorised extension". Both shall be fully charged for, and no refunds shall be given.
   Members are under No obligation to show you the controls and modes of the vehicle, but they shall be delighted to do so upon request. It is highly recommended that you consult the manual as well as the posters throughout our premises with regards to the controls and operations of all our vehicles.
  You shall be responsible for all extras and accessories given to you under the agreement.
  Your attention is SPECIFICALLY drawn to the fact that Countrywide, will be happy to supply you with extras such as booster seats and Child seats, but we CATEGORICALLY refuse to fit any such items to your vehicle. Such tasks must be performed strictly by the Hirer and/or his agents.
  The rental vehicle shall not be deemed as having returned to the Branch unless all its extras and accessories as well as keys have been handed in to our Branch, and a receipt of safe return is obtained from our office. On all such cases the charges shall continue up until safe return has been abided with.
   Lost keys: the company will have to order replacement keys from the manufacturer. Safe return can not be effected without the correct keys for the vehicle. As a subsequent of lost keys you shall be charged in full for any damage effected or associated with this process. No insurance or excess charges apply for this process
, you should anticipate to be charged in full for the complete costs as well as the loss of use element.Non-insurance items, such as interior, tyres, glass, mirrors, roof and headlining of the vehicle, extras, accessories, wheels are not covered by insurance and they must be paid in full. The vehicle shall be released to you in a roadworthy condition, having undergone a detailed 40 point check and 2 further appraisals, however, during the hire period, you are responsible for ensuring its correct operations as well as maintain that oil, water and tyre pressure is maintained according to the manufacturers optimum recommendations. You must check oil, coolant, tyre pressures, tyre levels daily.
   You can not cancel a booking once it has been made.
   You can not be refunded for a booking once it is made. Unless you agree to this you are advised not to proceed with your booking.
   No matter what the fuel level is in the vehicle at the commencement of the hire, it will be assumed and agreed as being empty. The vehicle is expected back to us as empty of fuel .No refunds or money back shall be given to you if you choose to return the vehicle back to us with more fuel.
   All payments must be made and shall be charged in British Pound Sterling and can be payable via, MASTERCARD, VISA, switch, Delta.
   No cash, Solo card or electron is accepted for rentals.
   Deposits may be  debited from your credit card at the onset of the hire, if so,they will be refunded back to you at the end of the rental period and once safe return has taken place and effect, or it will be offset against any further additional charges.If the additional and/or supplementary charges exceed the amount of the deposit kept, all such charges shall be charged to your credit card. However, if additional and/or supplementary charges are less than your deposit, the difference shall be refunded to your card.
   If you are collecting the vehicle you Must bring the following documentation with you printout of the Preliminary Rental Agreement
1. Full and Actual Drivers license for all named drivers( in the case of the new style U.K licensees, both encapsulated and paper parts are a necessary pre-requisite)(2) The Actual Credit card specified at the commencement of the booking process (3) Proof of Identity for the cardholder 4. Proof of address for the cardholder(4) Proof of address for the Hirer(5) Proof of address for the Guarantor/Credit card holder if different than the hirer(6) Passport is a Requirement for Non-EU citizens.. If You are Hiring our vehicle under Your own insurance You must further bring with you the following  (8 ) Insurance certificate (if Hiring the vehicle on Your own Insurance) explicitly stating that our vehicle shall be covered under this policy as well as full details of the broker's and insurance company's addresses and telephone numbers. (9) Letter of indemnity. Please be advised that we shall be unable to allocate a vehicle to you or issue you with a Refund if you fail to meet the aforementioned conditions.  DEFINITION OF SAFE RETURNThe vehicle along with all its extras and accessories to include keys must be brought back to us and officially handed back to our Control.The vehicle must be returned back to us in a reasonably clean condition. You must immediately fill in an accident report /claim form if the vehicle has been involved in an accident or sign a statement that the vehicle has not been involved in any accidents.A receipt called SAFE RETURN RECEIPT shall be issued to you at this point with the date and time that the Safe return of the vehicle was effected.
PROCEDURE For Returning the vehicle to us: Drive the vehicle to our premises and park safely into allocated area. Inform and identify yourself to a member of our Attendants. Our representatives shall Appraise the vehicle in your presence if the vehicle is in a clean state, otherwise our representatives will undertake to wash and valet the vehicles as to make it available for an inspection. Kindly note that for all vehicles returned not in a clean state delays up to a maximum of 30 minutes may be experienced- as the vehicle will have to be cleaned in your presence.
   Once the appraisal is complete, You shall be requested to sign the appraisal report and note the exact date and time that this appraisal took place.
   You shall be asked to sign a statement confirming whether you were involved in any accidents/incidents while you were in possession of the rental vehicle.
   A safe return receipt shall be issued to you as soon as the process has been completed.
   The Rental vehicle shall be deemed as having returned when the appraisal procedure is completed and at the time that the Receipt for SAFE RETURN is being issued. No refunds shall be made for vehicles returned early.
   If the vehicle is returned back late, and as a result a delay may occur to assigning the said vehicle to the new customer a Late return charge shall be levied to cover the cost of any compensation of such delays to the new client or arranging a replacement vehicle from another rental company. This value is likely to flactuate between £30-£50per day.
   There is a set charge of returning the Rental vehicle to a different Countrywide location without previous arrangement and this charge is the Full cost of repatriating the vehicle back to its original location where the Rental vehicle was originally hired from. On this occasion safe return can not be effected up until the date and time that such vehicle has been returned back to the original location and the Appraisal procedure and Safe return procedures have been complied with plus.
   We anticipate that you will return the rental vehicle back in us in substantially the same condition ( notwithstanding any fuel contents) as it was at the onset of the rental.
   There are No charges to be levied for fair wear and tear. However if there is evidence of further or additional damage on the vehicle you agree with us that the said damage shall be assessed and charged accordingly as it will be subject to the excess applicable and agreed with you. The excess is detailed in your rental contract.
   Please note that the minimum period for any Rental is 1 day. The Deposit should be fully paid prior to the vehicle being allocated and released to you. No vehicle shall be allocated and released to you unless the deposit is paid in Full. No pets of any sort are allowed in the Rental vehicle.
Dealing with Incidents/Accidents NEVER ACCEPT LIABILITY, as such a statement may prejudice your position infront of the Third party. You are expected to Inform Countrywide immediately as soon as an accident has occurred. You are expected to Note the Registration Number of the Third part as well as:a. their Name and address    b. Insurance Details  c. names and addresses of any witnesses. Fill in an Accident claim form and forward it immediately to Countrywide, request an acknowledgement receipt from Countrywide that your accident claim/report form has been received.  Return the damaged vehicle immediately back to the Countrywide location Be aware that the excess for all unreported accidents is the full value of the incident to include repair/replacement, PI’s out of pocket expenses etc. No excess reduction mechanism is applicable on all such cases.

OVERSEAS USE of Rental Car Overseas use of the Rental vehicle is strictly forbidden unless we have agreed to grant you authority to do so inwritting. Overseas use insurance can be purchased at the extra cost of £50+ Vat per week There is No Breakdown facilities/recovery extended to you whilst you choose to use the Rental vehicle overseas. You must ensure that you purchase a package similar to that of the 5star AA package, prior to the commencement of your hire.
